Scheduling All-Day Events in Motion: Blocking or Allowing Tasks

When setting an all-day event, don't just click and drag time for the entire day. Instead, specifically select the "All Day" option to accurately set up your event.

Block Tasks with a "Busy" All-Day Event

To block tasks, follow these steps:
  1. 1.
Click the "+" located between the search icon
    🔍
and 'Week' in your calendar view, opening the event interface.
  2. 2.
Select "All-Day". This signals your event spans the entire selected day.
  3. 3.
Click the "All Day" toggle. Now, your event is recognized as an all-day event.
  4. 4.
Mark the event as "Busy" to block any tasks.
  5. 5.
Setting a "Busy" all-day event in your "Accounts" or "My Calendars" prevents Motion's AI from scheduling tasks, ensuring an uninterrupted break.

Allow Tasks with a "Free" All-Day Event

To allow tasks, follow these steps:
  1. 1.
Follow steps 1-3 above to create an all-day event.
  2. 2.
Mark the event as "Free," allowing tasks to be scheduled.
  3. 3.
When an all-day event is marked as "Free," Motion's AI sees the day as available for tasks. You'll see tasks scheduled, despite the all-day event.
These steps provide control over your schedule on your days off. Enjoy the flexibility of choosing between a task-free day or one with scheduled tasks!
