How to Sign Up for Motion Teams

Note: This article assumes you've read "Why Motion for Teams?". If you haven't, we recommend starting there for foundational concepts.

Summary:

There are two paths to getting started with Motion Teams: upgrading an existing individual account or creating a new team account from scratch. Both paths give you access to Motion's full team capabilities. Team plans are available for all subscription tiers and start at 3 seats (minimum) and scale up through 5, 10, and 15+ seats.

(Note: Team plans of 15+ are considered Motion Enterprise plans)


Starting from an Individual Account

If you're already using Motion individually, you can upgrade to a team plan in two ways:

  • Through Settings:

    • Open Motion and go to Settings

    • Select "Create a Team"

    • Choose your seat count


  • Via the Quick Action:

    • Click "Save 41% With Team Plan" in the lower left-hand side of the Motion homepage

    • Follow the team creation flow

    • Select your desired team size


Starting Fresh for Teams

For new users wanting to start with Motion Teams:

  1. Click "Try Motion Free"

  2. During signup, select "Team Plan"

  3. Choose your team size:

    • 3 seats (minimum)

    • 5 seats

    • 10 seats

    • 15+ seats (Enterprise)

  • Cross-team visibility

Next Steps

  1. After selecting your team size, you can Invite team members using our bulk-add option (pictured below).
