Summary:

The Kanban view provides a visual representation of tasks or projects arranged on a Kanban board. With our drag-and-drop feature, tasks and projects are displayed as tiles that can be organized into customizable columns.

What’s in the Kanban View?

  • Filters: Utilize the filter options (e.g., Group by, Sort, Card fields, etc.) to modify the display of projects and tasks.

  • Task Tiles: Includes task details including the title, priority, status, duration, etc. Just click on any of them to make updates!

    • Click on the task tile to open the modal and access the full task details.

  • Drag-and-Drop: Rearrange project and task priorities, reassign items, or reorder columns by simply dragging and dropping.

No More Cumbersome Kanbans:

Setting filters on your Kanban board shouldn't be a never-ending game of hide and seek. That's why we introduced the 'Save as View' feature, which operates as your secret sauce for filtering efficiency.

Steps to Save Views

  1. Start by selecting 'All Projects' from the left-hand sidebar.

  2. From here you will be able to view all your ongoing projects in Motion.

  3. Click on the “Kanban” view option atop the All Projects page.

  4. Apply filters to customize your view and focus on what matters most.

  5. Click on “Save” to preserve your tailored perspective for quick and easy access in the future.

Here's why it's so valuable:

Simplified Workload Management:

  • Example: As a manager, group tasks by the assignee to monitor each team member's workload visually.

  • Avoid time-consuming check-ins and easily understand task distribution.

Instant Focus on Critical Tasks:

  • Example: As an employee, group tasks by priority and save a view for 'ASAP' tasks.

  • Quickly access your most urgent tasks without searching through emails or sticky notes.

The "Save as View" feature is your personal assistant for creating customized views that meet your specific needs. It's designed to make your work easier, increase efficiency, and streamline task management.
