Creating an Event in Motion
TL;DR:
Events in Motion are activities or commitments that are fixed in time. These are static and do not adjust or shift dynamically like tasks. They can include a range of professional meetings to personal commitments.
Events are fixed in time and will never be auto-scheduled by Motion’s AI algorithm. Events act as placeholders for meetings, obligations, or appointments that are fixed in time.
An example of an event would be “Mom’s Birthday Party,” as this event takes place at a specific, fixed time.
To create an event in Motion, follow these steps:
Select the ‘+’ button located atop the calendar. This will populate the event creation modal.
Input your preferred settings and parameters for the event including:
Event Name
Date and Duration
Conferencing or Location Details
Invited Guests
Free or Busy Status
Specific Calendar
Privacy Visibility Preference (On Google and Outlook Calendars)
Event Color (On Google Calendar)
Travel Time (On Google and Outlook Calendars)
Select ‘Create Event’ to save your event.
Additionally, Events can be created by dragging and dropping a specific timeframe directly from the calendar and selecting “Create Event”.
