How to Cancel Your Motion Subscription

We understand that sometimes things change, and you may need to cancel your Motion subscription. Here's a simple guide to help you through the process:

Canceling Your Subscription

If you have access to your Motion account:

  1. Visit your Motion account at on a desktop or laptop computer.

  2. Click the profile icon/email address at the top, and then click the red “Cancel Plan” button.

  3. Enter a cancellation reason, such as “My work won’t let me use Motion,” and click “Cancel on Next Page.” This will take you to a Stripe-hosted subscription page.

  4. Finally, click “Cancel Plan” on this page.


If you no longer have access to your Motion account:

  1. Go to your account billing page at on a desktop/laptop computer.

  2. Click on “Billing.”

  3. Select “Individual subscribers: Change payment method, cancel the subscription, view invoices.” This will take you to a Stripe-hosted subscription page.

  4. Click “Cancel plan” on this page.

These instructions are for individual users only. If you have a team plan, you can follow the steps outlined below.

If you are a Team Admin:

  1. Head over to Settings ⚙️.

  2. Click on "Team” on the left.

  3. Select "Billing.”

  4. Click on "Manage plan."

  5. Click on "Cancel plan."

  6. Enter a cancellation reason to proceed with the request.

How do I go about reversing the account cancelation?

  • If you were on the free trial subscription, click on the "Subscribe to continue using Motion" button in Account Settings to resubscribe.

  • If you were on a paid subscription, click on the blue "Reactivate" button to reactivate your subscription.

How can I get a refund?
